Mark Lewis and Matthew Guelke are doing something right. The opening of their second San Francisco restaurant, The Plant: Cafe Organic, is making a lot of locals very happy, and the tourists are sure to come soon too. Situated right on the waterfront at Pier 3, and utilizing the area's bounty of organic farmers and proximity of the famed Ferry Plaza Farmer's market just next door, Lewis and Guelke have created a masterpiece in casual yet elegant organic dining. No doubt helped along by the gentle breeze coming off the Bay, and the refreshing carrott juice martini creation I was handed upon walking in the front door, I found myself more relaxed than I have been in quite some time and can't wait to go back.
