With a background in health, wellness and sustainability that began over twenty-five years ago, and as the Founder of the EcoMom Alliance and Co-Founder of ecomom.com®*, longtime social entrepreneur Kimberly Danek Pinkson is a sought after keynote speaker, media guest and environmental health consultant. Kimberly’s work has always been imbued with a sense of global interconnection. She is a visionary that believes anything is possible with the right combination of hard work, perseverance and faith. She has proven this so on many occasions.
Kimberly summited the back side of Yosemite Valley’s famed Half Dome at the tender age of six and went on her first Native American based Vision Quest at the age of thirteen. After a ballet career was prematurely ended due to an injury, she fought back through several years of rehabilitation to study dance and psychology, graduating with honors from UCLA and the University of Hawaii. Defying all the odds, she then went on to a professional dance career working with world-renowned artists and companies. After retiring, she became a certified Pilates rehabilitation trainer and worked with Olympic athletes while continuing to grow her work in the LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) sector with event production, writing and teaching.
In her work with EcoMom Alliance, Kimberly is able to bring together her wide range of experience across a myriad of cultures in a myriad of sectors. She is one of those rare individuals who is as at ease among a group of scientists discussing climate change as she is among a group of mothers talking pre-schools, or a Board of Directors pondering economics and ecology.
Kimberly’s experience with bringing ecomom.com®* and ecomomalliance.org to fruition, is one of courage and hope. Her vision has paid off. The organization now has members from Mumbai to Minneapolis and is empowering mothers to create a healthier and more sustainable world. ecomom.com® is quick becoming a premier e-commerce site for healthy, affordable, and thoroughly researched and tested products for the whole family.
Kimberly is a regular contributor to websites and parenting magazines. She has keynoted at conferences such as the World Women's Forum in Seoul, Korea, and the North Carolina Women's Conference. As a media guest, she has appeared on the TODAY Show, 20/20, ABC Evening News, CBS Evening News, KGO’s View from the Bay and a host of regional television programs. Kimberly is equally comfortable in front of or behind the camera and just enjoys bringing together people and ideas who would not otherwise meet. She is inspired every day by her son Corbin, and by the amazing people she meets in this journey of life.

Maybe you used to pick plums off trees in the backyard with your grandma or grandpa and just recalling the…Continue
