I found reusable sandwich wraps at reusablebags.com. My kids really like them (and my husband was so disappointed I hadn't gotten him one, that I eventually did!!!

Luckily my oldest son is only 4, so he doesn't mind what he brings to school yet! :) My husband, on the other hand, said "Men don't carry lunch boxes!" as he walked out the door with a tupperware in his hand. Sigh. I told him Michelle's idea of the metal workman's type lunchbox and he seemed to think that was cool.

If anyone is interested in the eco-friendly Kids Konserve or Citizen Pip lunch systems, I have coupon codes and a giveaway on my blog at http://kelliebrown.blogspot.com/2009/08/kids-konserve-v-citizen-pip-giveaway.html

I think that is the best question..what will older kids carry? I find the 8-11 boys I know will carry this classic metal workers dome lunch box lunch box: http://www.lunchboxes.com/dome.html
You can add cool stickers to it and such. But, what about those junior highers/middle schoolers? I haven't experienced that yet but I imagine it is brown bags....thanks for the cloth brown bag idea!

Donna, I've seen cloth bags that look just like brown paper lunch bags. A quick Google search comes up with one with handles (he may not like that) http://www.reusablebags.com/store/recycled-cotton-lunch-medium-p-968.html

here's one with a drawstring:http://www.exclusivelygreenmarket.com/index.php?p=catalog&mode=search&search_in=all&image.x=0&image.y=0&search_str=lunch+bag

here's a question for the group...all of the lunchbox ideas i've seen and currently use are excellent for my 7 year old girl...my problem is finding something my 11 year old boy, starting junior high will carry...any suggestions?

Check out the newest and greenest lunch box at planetbox.com. I am also loving the lunch supplies at kidskonserve.com and lunchbots.com.
