Kyle -
Thank you for your comment. Not quite sure what you are trying to tell me. Did you have a chance to investigate the Aqus system? Or just wanted me to know that green washing exists? And you last sentence confuses me...are you saying that Ecomoms are greenwashers? Seventh Generation has been a proud sponsor, so let me know if there is something I can clear up here.

This looks like a really great publication! I think 11 to 14 year-olds are particularly impressionable and this magazine focuses on worthwhile lessons. Can you imagine how different teen behavior could be if these themes were more prevalent in every day media influences?? Thanks for sharing!

Wow, what an honor that you were a part of this forum. I really like how you recognized the rediscoveries you can make through children's eyes. It is something I have been searching for since settling in to one place-- I used to always be rediscovering as I hopedp between different cultures! Looks like I should start spending time with friends' children...

It is also great that you plugged carbon offsets. :)

Hi! I'm an EcoMom and a legal secretary and this year I was put in charge of buying our firm's holiday card. I found a place called Best Holiday Cards that is really great. Their eco friendly line has mixed source, post consumer paper, with recycled envelopes. They have a selection of business appropriate cards along with ones I might send myself. Reasonably priced and great customer service (talking to actual people on the phone is always a plus). Here's a link:

Thanks for sharing this post -- I am sure that many of us have the same experience every day.

Earlier this year I was collecting baby formula cans in a huge tower on the corner of the counter (much to hubby's dismay), because they weren't recyclable and I was sure they were good for something. Finally I tossed them all -- and shortly after the company came out with a fully tin and recyclable can!

And, after a similar party experience, for my next event I put up big signs on all trash bins and gave a little "announcement" to the guests. Quite a few of them laughed at me and thought I was being silly, but later a few more commented on how cool it was to not create so much waste. And, although I still had to "sort the trash/compost/recycling" because evidently my signs weren't big enough, at least all was not lost!
